About The Position

The AI Solutions Engineer works within Mirion’s Medical business units, partnering with manufacturing, quality, service, and business teams to identify improvement opportunities and deliver AI-driven solutions with measurable operational results. The role combines software engineering and hands-on AI expertise, with business impact as the primary measure of success. Reporting directly to the Chief AI & Digital Officer, the position provides exposure to enterprise AI strategy and autonomy to build and deploy solutions that improve business operations. The engineer identifies operational challenges, translates them into technical solutions and business cases, and designs, develops, and deploys AI applications across manufacturing, quality, service, and administrative functions. Solutions may include computer vision, agentic AI, and large language model applications. The role owns the full product lifecycle, from design and prototyping through pilot implementation, production deployment, user adoption, and ongoing improvement. It also includes measuring business outcomes, communicating with stakeholders, supporting training and change management, and aligning solutions with enterprise architecture, security, governance, quality, documentation, validation, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Translate business challenges into technical solutions and develop business cases to support prioritization and investment.
  • Design and implement AI-powered applications for operational challenges across manufacturing, quality, service, and administrative functions.
  • Develop computer vision solutions for visual inspection, defect detection, anomaly identification, and image-based quality assurance.
  • Build and deploy agentic AI and LLM-based solutions to automate workflows, enhance decision-making, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Own the solution lifecycle, including design, prototyping, pilot implementation, production deployment, user adoption, and ongoing improvement.
  • Use enterprise platforms, services, and standards while maintaining a rapid, solution-oriented delivery approach.
