About The Position

The AI Solutions Engineer I is a Full Time, Regular position working Monday-Friday day shift hours, hybrid in Spokane, WA. Summary: The AI Solutions Engineer I will apply their experience to design, build, and deploy generative AI-powered tools and agents tailored to client needs in IT operations, business process automation, and data analytics. This role involves hands-on coding, AI model integration (e.g., fine-tuned LLMs like Claude, GPT-4, or Gemini), and workflow automation to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient solutions for our clients.

  • Overnight travel as necessary for consulting and project work up to 15% annually.
  • Follows all Health and Safety policies and guidelines of Inland Imaging and its partners depending on work location
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience of IT support in a professional setting
  • 2+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering
  • 3+ years in client-facing or consulting roles.
  • Demonstrated deployment of generative AI models in production (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, LLMs, Stable Diffusion).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
  • Strong programming skills in Python required (JS, R or similar a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to clinical/operational teams.
  • Willingness to travel ~10% to client sites and conferences.
  • Eligible employees must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and deliver complex AI agents and automation workflows tailored for medical imaging, business operations and healthcare analytics.
  • Lead development of generative AI models (e.g., fine-tuned large language models, diffusion models) and integration with emerging AI APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT‑4, Google Gemini).
  • Deploy models within production environments across cloud-native and edge platforms.
  • Integrate AI-driven solutions with EMR/EHR systems, PACS, clinical workflows, and modern data infrastructure.
  • Provide technical consulting, bridging AI capabilities and clinical needs; ensure handoff and support readiness.
  • Integrate AI tools into existing business systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with process owners to understand task logic and data flows.
  • Ensure security, data privacy, and human-in-the-loop reviews where they are needed.
  • Maintain and document AI systems for stability and reproducibility.
  • Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, promoting clean coding, DevOps best practices, and responsible AI.
