Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or related technical field with three or more (3+) years of experience applying AI/ML, data science, or advanced automation to real world problems or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with large language models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic), prompt engineering, workflow design, and scripting/automation tools such as Python, JavaScript, or VBA
  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with pipeline engineering, operations, and business teams to map workflows and identify opportunities for AI integration
  • Prioritize AI use cases based on value, feasibility, and risk to build a actionable roadmap
  • Design, develop, and maintain AI-enabled tools, prompts, templates, and agent-based workflows
  • Build solutions for extraction and summarization of standards, design criteria, and historical project files
  • Automate repetitive tasks in spreadsheets, presentations, and internal workflows
  • Develop AI-assisted preliminary analysis tools for routing, cost/schedule scenarios, and risk registers
  • Integrate AI tools with existing systems where appropriate (e.g., SCADA, CPM, Accounting, data platforms)
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate solutions with end users, establishing testing and validation processes to ensure quality and safety
  • Lead rollout of AI tools into real workflows through training sessions, workshops, playbooks, and quick reference guides
  • Provide 1:1 and small group coaching, including prompt engineering best practices, to increase AI fluency across the organization
  • Empower teams to build their own lightweight automations by creating reusable templates and examples
  • Establish best practices for secure, reliable AI usage including data handling, access controls, and governance
  • Partner with IT, cybersecurity, and compliance teams to ensure all solutions meet company policies, TSA Pipeline Security Guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Maintain shared libraries of prompts, templates, and workflows while evaluating emerging tools and frameworks for potential adoption
  • Define and track metrics for productivity, efficiency, and cost savings; collect user feedback to continuously refine tools and workflows
