About The Position

Peraton is seeking an experienced AI Strategic Advisor to support executive leadership with AI strategy development, roadmaps, assessments, and recommendations in support of a federal customer mission. This role focuses on continuous improvement initiatives related to AI adoption, governance, and enterprise modernization. You will collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements into robust AI architectures while ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and ethical AI standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years experience, Master's degree with 10+ years experience or PhD with 7+ years experience.
• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Must have resided in the U.S. the past five years with no more than six months travel outside the U.S. during this time frame
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments.
• Experience with generative AI, LLMs, machine learning, and enterprise AI platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise modernization, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Proficiency in Python and modern software development practices.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face, or similar.
• Experience with LLM frameworks and orchestration tools such as LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and memory architectures.
• Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and MLOps practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, data pipelines, and data analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with Git, DevOps workflows, and Agile development methodologies.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting federal, enterprise, or highly regulated environments.
• Relevant certifications in cloud computing, AI/ML, cybersecurity, or Agile methodologies.
• Experience with enterprise architecture, solutioning, or technical advisory services.
• Experience implementing AI governance or responsible AI programs.

Responsibilities

• Support executive leadership with AI strategy development, roadmaps, assessments, and recommendations.
• Translate complex AI concepts into business-focused solutions and operational outcomes.
• Collaborate with CIO organizations, technical teams, stakeholders, and program offices on AI initiatives.
• Conduct workshops, training sessions, mentoring, and knowledge transfer activities.
• Provide technical documentation, operational guidance, and implementation recommendations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to AI adoption, governance, and enterprise modernization.
• Support ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and operational support for deployed AI systems.
