About The Position

The software & regression tester is responsible for designing, automating, executing, troubleshooting and documenting software tests for TIMS platform with strong focus on AI-assisted automated API testing and regression testing. This role combines manual testing expertise with modern automation tools, and AI-driven testing methodologies to improve software quality, efficiency and release reliability. Successful testers will be detail oriented, analytical and highly motivated problem solvers who can work collaboratively. This is an exempt position reporting to the manager of the applicable development group.

  • Degree in computer science or related degree that has programming language or the equivalent in related work experience.
  • Previous experience with business software, business accounting practices, software testing or documenting required.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Nice To Haves

  • TIMS experience also preferred.
  • Ability to write, read, and use Microsoft Structured Query language (SQL) and/or automated testing and programming experience would be good to have, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, automate, and maintain regression and API test cases using modern testing framework and AI-assisted automation tools.
  • Execute automated and manual software tests against major and minor TIMS releases including API, integration, regression and functional testing.
  • Analyze tests results, identify defects, troubleshoot failures, and communicate findings.
  • Utilize AI tools and automation platforms to improve testing coverage, efficiency and defect detection.
  • Collaborate with programmers and testers to gather and document requirements for testing existing and new programming.
  • Review software modifications and assist with preparation and execution of test plans.
  • Create and maintain accurate test documentation, test scenarios, procedures and preliminary customer-facing documentation.
  • Maintain internal processes, standards, and documentation including contributions to the Quality Assurance handbook.
  • Assist in monitoring build failures, unit test results, and static code analysis findings.
  • Support other departments as needed, assessing urgency in order to successfully prioritize prompt resolution.
  • Maintain accurate project time records.
  • Assist in the training of new & existing personnel as needed.
  • Assist with the successful execution of the annual users group conference. Will attend/participate and may present and/or assist with development of presentations.
