About The Position

We are a small, forward-thinking research group within a network device manufacturer, responsible for shaping the vision and implementation of AI-powered capabilities across our product portfolio. We're looking for a mid-level software developer who is passionate about applied AI and wants to work on problems that sit at the intersection of intelligent systems and real-world networking infrastructure. Candidates must be located in the Bay Area or San Diego, CA.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of software development experience with strong Python fundamentals.
• Hands-on familiarity with at least some of the AI/ML tooling landscape — whether that's LLM APIs, vector stores, retrieval-augmented generation patterns, or agent frameworks.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity.
• Can move fluidly between prototyping and production-quality code.
• Curiosity about networking or enterprise infrastructure to appreciate the domain problems we're solving.
• Clear thinkers who communicate well in a small-team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol).
• Enthusiasm for learning MCP.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to building and maintaining agentic AI workflows using LangGraph.
• Design and extend our growing library of MCP servers.
• Improve the RAG pipelines that power our knowledge-retrieval systems — all primarily in Python.
• Work closely with a tight-knit team where your ideas carry weight and your contributions are visible.
