About The Position

Reporting to the Information Security and Infrastructure Manager, the AI Security Specialist focuses on security frameworks for AI usage, machine learning models, and supporting pipelines across Accordion. This role leads threat modeling, risk assessment, control design, and security guidance for AI-enabled tools, workflows, and platforms used across the enterprise. The role partners closely with the DevSecOps function, security leadership, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure AI adoption is secure, controlled, and aligned to enterprise expectations. This position requires strong technical depth, evolving knowledge of AI risk, and the ability to guide a global organization with team members across the US, UK, and India. Travel will be required. This position will ideally be based in one of our US offices and is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days per week (also eligible for remote candidates). This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, cloud security, or related technical security roles
  • Hands-on understanding of AI security concepts, model and data risks, and modern threat modeling approaches
  • Experience working with engineering teams on secure design and technical control implementation
  • Ability to translate emerging AI risks into practical enterprise security guidance – you are curious, technical, and highly analytical
  • Exposure to DevSecOps practices and modern software delivery environments
  • Ability to partner across security, engineering, and business teams
  • Comfortability working in a rapidly evolving security domain
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant certifications or specialized training are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Help define and mature security frameworks for AI-enabled tools, workflows, models, and supporting data pipelines
  • Develop guidance for secure model usage, access control, data handling, monitoring, and third-party AI risk
  • Lead threat modeling and risk assessments associated with AI usage across internal and client-facing environments
  • Identify risks related to data exposure, prompt misuse, model abuse, insecure integrations, and agentic workflow behavior
  • Translate risks into practical control recommendations and remediation actions
  • Work closely with the DevSecOps team to embed AI security controls into development and deployment practices
  • Support secure design reviews for AI-related platforms, pipelines, and automation flows
  • Help shape enterprise awareness and standards for responsible AI security practices
  • Support documentation, policy translation, and technical guidance for teams adopting AI capabilities
