About The Position

The AI Security Governance Lead is a hands-on governance role within the Global Information Security (GIS) Business Information Security Office (BISO) AI Design & Enforcement team, supporting the organization’s efforts to govern the secure, responsible, and compliant use of artificial intelligence technologies. This role will focus on supporting AI risk assessments, control reviews, policy adherence, and ongoing monitoring of emerging AI security risks across the organization. This individual will operate at the intersection of cyber security controls, AI risk, and operational execution — converting strategy into tangible deliverables including control requirements, governance frameworks, and sustainable operating processes.

Requirements

  • Experience in Information Security, Technology Risk, Cyber Risk, AI Governance, Data Governance, or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, generative AI technologies, AI agents, and associated cybersecurity risks.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, NIST AI RMF, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, or similar governance frameworks
  • Ability to translate technical AI and cybersecurity concepts into clear business-focused risk communications.
  • 5+ years of risk management experience with proven ability to effectively apply risk principles to challenging business situations
  • Exceptional executive presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent influencing and problem resolution skills
  • Strong leadership skills and qualities which enable you to work with peers and various levels of management
  • Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently
  • Strong analytical, documentation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and implement scalable, repeatable processes that integrate security, governance, and risk management into the AI lifecycle, ensuring consistency and auditability.
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization's AI Governance program, with a focus on cybersecurity and risk management.
  • Identify and mitigate AI-specific risks (e.g., model abuse, prompt injection, data leakage, model theft), embedding security and governance into AI development, deployment, and third-party usage.
  • Support issue management activities by tracking AI-related risks, findings, and remediation actions.
  • Prepare governance reports, metrics, dashboards, and presentations for management and governance committees.
  • Participate in internal audits, regulatory examinations, and control assessments related to AI systems and AI governance practices.
  • Contribute to the development of AI testing, validation, and monitoring requirements designed to identify security, compliance, and operational concerns.
  • Monitors information security trends internal and external to the bank and keeps leadership informed
