About The Position

Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an AI/RPA SME- Mobile Training Team 2 with a TS/SCI security clearance to support KITS and our government customer at Langley Air Force Base, VA. The AI/RPA Technical Subject Matter Expert serves as part of Mobile Training Team 2 (MTT 2), Regional Cluster B, delivering wing-level technical instruction, live demonstrations, and proof-of-concept automation builds across Air Combat Command's CONUS and OCONUS installations. This role involves deploying on multi-week regional rotations as a two-person team with a Change Management Specialist, providing the technical depth that makes AI and RPA adoption real for operational Airmen. Responsibilities include running live RPA demonstrations using actual wing data, building proof-of-concept automations in 2-3 days that address unit-specific workflows, conducting hands-on Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) labs, and capturing use-case requirements that feed the JBLE-based prototype development queue. The role bridges the gap between operational mission needs and technical AI/RPA solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum Secret clearance at project start.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance that is current and in-scope required for ISR Wing Visits (no interim acceptable) or classified environment assignment.
  • Eligible for AFSCI access.
  • 4+ years of hands-on AI/ML and RPA solution development and delivery in DoD environments.
  • Proven track record building and deploying operational AI/RPA solutions.
  • Experience delivering technical training, demonstrations, or hands-on labs to military or federal civilian audiences.
  • Familiarity with Air Force or DoD operational workflows (intelligence, mission planning, logistics, or similar mission sets).
  • UiPath Certified RPA Associate OR Microsoft Power Automate certification (at least one; both preferred).
  • CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8140.03 baseline).
  • Hands-on VILT and lab delivery experience.
  • Expert-level proficiency with UiPath Studio and Microsoft Power Automate (desktop and cloud flows).
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML platforms approved for DoD use (AskSage, Advana, GenAI.mil, or equivalent).
  • Experience with prompt engineering, output validation, and responsible AI practices.
  • Knowledge of API integration, database connectivity, and data transformation for automation workflows.
  • Familiarity with NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and AFSCI network environments and associated security protocols.
  • Ability to build working prototypes rapidly (2-3 days) with limited infrastructure and unfamiliar data sources.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation.
  • Visual acuity for detailed technical work and data analysis.
  • Manual dexterity for typing, coding, and operating computer equipment.
  • Work with classified information up to Top Secret/SCI level.
  • Compliance with OPSEC, CUI handling, and classification protocols.
  • Adherence to base access, badge, and facility security requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900).
  • AI Engineer certification or equivalent.
  • UiPath Advanced RPA Developer.
  • Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate.
  • Experience supporting Air Force ISR Wings, intelligence squadrons, or combat operations centers.
  • Background in intelligence analysis, mission planning, or operational workflows that AI/RPA can enhance.
  • Previous work with Advana, AskSage, or other DoD AI platforms.
  • Experience conducting workflow discovery and requirements elicitation in operational military environments.
  • Familiarity with GIDE (Global Information Dominance Experiments) or similar multi-domain integration efforts.
  • Understanding of DoD data governance, accreditation processes, and security compliance for AI/RPA deployments.
  • Teaching, training, or instructional design background.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy to ACC wings on multi-week regional rotation schedules as part of MTT 2 (Western CONUS/OCONUS ACC Wing locations).
  • Deliver advanced technical instruction on AI/ML and RPA platforms including AskSage, UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate, and other DoD-approved tools.
  • Conduct hands-on VILT labs where Regional Cluster B Airmen build simple automations, test AI queries, and practice responsible AI workflows.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical training for Regional Cluster B personnel integrating AI/RPA into specific mission functions (intelligence analysis, mission planning, logistics coordination).
  • Answer complex technical questions about platform capabilities, integration patterns, and security compliance in real time.
  • Run live RPA demonstrations during Regional Cluster B wing visits using actual unit workflows and operational data.
  • Build proof-of-concept automations on-site within 2-3 days addressing unit-specific pain points identified during discovery sessions.
  • Demonstrate AI query techniques, prompt engineering, and output validation using mission-relevant examples.
  • Conduct workflow discovery interviews with Regional Cluster B wing personnel to identify automation opportunities.
  • Document Regional Cluster B unit-specific use cases using structured intake criteria.
  • Score opportunities by automation potential and mission impact to prioritize prototype development.
  • Generate technical requirements packages that feed the JBLE-based AI/RPA Solutions Architects and RPA Developers.
  • Conduct technical instruction and workflow discovery in SIPRNet and AFSCI environments at Regional Cluster B ISR Wings.
  • Build proof-of-concept automations within classified networks using approved platforms and data handling procedures.
  • Advise on classification-appropriate AI/RPA integration patterns and security compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with JBLE-based Senior AI/Data SMEs (TS/SCI) on classified solution transition planning.
  • Deploy as a two-person team with MTT 2's Change Management Specialist on every wing visit.
  • Coordinate technical demonstrations with adoption workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Translate technical capabilities into mission-relevant value propositions for non-technical audiences.
  • Support solution-a-thons and ideation events by providing technical feasibility assessments in real time.
  • Deliver Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) sessions from home base or JBLE between rotations.
  • Update technical training materials and lab exercises based on lessons learned.
  • Coordinate with JBLE-based Solutions Architects on use-case handoffs from wing visits.
