About The Position
RoboForce is an AI robotics company developing Physical AI–powered Robo-Labor for dull, dirty, and dangerous work. The company’s robots are engineered for demanding industrial environments, with a focus on real-world deployment and scalability. We are looking for an AI & Robotics Data Collection Engineer (Intern) to handle daily robot data‑gathering operations and manage the complete data labeling pipeline—from raw capture to annotated, model‑ready datasets.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering (or related field).
- Strong organizational skills to track tasks, metrics, and deadlines.
- Hands‑on experience with Linux/Ubuntu, shell scripting, or Python.
- Must be able to work onsite at our Milpitas, CA office for 40 hours per week.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using labeling tools or annotation platforms.
- Sensor calibration experience.
- Exposure to ROS2.
- Exposure to containerization.
Responsibilities
- Setup and calibrate the sensors (cameras, lidars, etc) for data collection.
- Capture sensor data and ensure high‑quality data collection.
- Operate robot arm or robot base when needed.
- QA data labels from vendors to ensure the data quality.
- Define the quality criteria.
- Develop tools to improve QA efficiency when needed.
- Spot bugs or issues as they arise, promptly communicate them to the right engineering teams, and confirm resolutions.
- Maintain a safe environment for both the operator and the robot.
- Follow proper bring-up and shutdown procedures, including routine equipment checks.
