About The Position

We are seeking an execution-focused, hands-on AI Project Manager to coordinate day-to-day operations across our regional AI portfolio, support the AI Center of Excellence (CoE), and guide early-stage AI solution lifecycles through execution. Reporting directly to the Head of AI and Analytics, this mid-level working role provides hands on operational and project management support across the entire initiative lifecycle from problem framing through industrialization. The AI Project Manager will lead the initial phases of AI centric solutions, including MVP (Minimum Viable Product) definition and deployment strategies for scaling and industrializing Generative AI and Agentic AI applications. Additionally, this position concretely supports the Head of AI and Analytics in establishing and running the cross functional AI Working Committee to drive the North American AI strategy, partners with external consulting firms through SOW management to discover and evaluate high value use cases, and facilitates delivery rhythms with technical data teams to bridge strategic goals and operational reality.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of practical project management or project coordination experience within an enterprise IT, analytics, or software delivery environment.
  • Proven hands-on experience guiding or leading the initial phases of AI/ML or advanced analytics solutions, defining MVP boundaries, and coordinating technical teams through prototyping, testing, and rollout.
  • Familiarity with the operational requirements, lifecycles, and deployment strategies for scaling Generative AI models, LLMs, and emerging Agentic AI workflows into business operations.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, or managing Statements of Work (SOWs), evaluating third party consulting deliverables, and tracking vendor milestone progress.
  • Practical experience managing project workflows using Agile/Scrum or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles alongside formal corporate stage gate controls.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience supporting an AI/Data Center of Excellence (CoE), strategic working group, or executive steering committee.
  • Industry experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or complex matrixed organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Project Management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the initial phases of AI centric solutions, including MVP (Minimum Viable Product) definition and deployment strategies for scaling and industrializing Generative AI and Agentic AI applications across business functions.
  • Partner with business domain leads, data scientists, and data engineers to guide initiatives from early problem definition and technical feasibility assessments through proof of concept (PoC) validation, establishing clear success metrics and business KPIs.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, iteration reviews, and backlog refinement sessions within Agile/SAFe environments. Apply structured project controls managing scope, schedules, risks, and stage gate milestones in alignment with Airbus LBIP processes.
  • Define operational readiness criteria, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and prepare deployment instructions, training materials, and handover documentation to ensure seamless industrialization and long-term organizational adoption.
  • Collaborate directly with internal sponsors, procurement, and technical leads to draft, review, and refine Statements of Work (SOWs), establishing crisp deliverables, acceptance criteria, and contracted milestones for third party consulting partners.
  • Partner with external consulting firms during discovery workshops to uncover, evaluate, and prioritize high value operational AI use cases across North American business domains.
  • Conduct structured technical and operational reviews of vendor outputs and deliverables, verifying alignment with contract criteria, business objectives, and enterprise data standards.
  • Monitor active consulting engagements against contracted scopes, tracking vendor billing milestones, burn rates, purchase orders, and deliverable timelines.
  • Directly support the Head of AI and Analytics in establishing, organizing, and facilitating the cross functional North American AI Working Committee, driving alignment and tracking action items that advance the regional AI strategy.
  • Coordinate central AI CoE activities, including community forums, knowledge sharing webinars, AI tool access workflows, and best practice enablement across regional sites.
  • Maintain initiative intake pipelines, project dashboards, and milestone boards tracking AI initiatives from ideation to production.
  • Prepare executive briefing decks, steering committee alignment summaries, and progress scorecards for regular leadership governance.
