About The Position

Over the past two years, our AI investments have demonstrated clear enterprise value, and the emergence of Agentic AI marks a significant inflection point for the firm. Our mission is to ensure that associates have seamless access to AI solutions (including agents created in the business) and are equipped to embrace them in their daily workflows to maximize impact. As the AI Principal Product Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering against our enterprise AI strategy, partnering deeply with business leaders, technologists, and risk partners to turn AI potential into measurable outcomes. This role combines strategic product leadership, hands-on execution, and exceptional stakeholder influence in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product management, design, strategy, or tech roles, including ownership of complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • A proven ability to think strategically and execute tactically, often switching between the two
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and driving change across business and technology in highly ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a track record of influencing without authority and building trust across senior stakeholders
  • Strong AI fluency — you don’t need to build models, but you understand how modern AI systems work and how to productize them
  • Comfort navigating risk, governance, and control considerations in regulated or complex environments
  • Experience mentoring others and raising the quality of product practice around you
  • Strategic mindset: ability to align initiatives with corporate goals and prioritize effectively
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and data analytics; ability to partner with technical teams
  • Data-driven mindset, with a focus on measuring impact and optimizing performance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data/Analytics, Engineering, or related field; MBA/communication or design advanced degrees a plus

Responsibilities

  • Shape a clear AI product vision and strategy for lines of business, from problem definition through pilot and scale with business leaders
  • Balance central leverage and local ownership within Capital Group’s hub-and-spoke operating model
  • Establish success metrics tied to realized business value, not just technical delivery
  • Dive deep on the line of business AI strategy, managing discovery, experimentation, MVP delivery, and scale-out
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into well-scoped product hypotheses, roadmaps, and backlogs
  • Work closely with engineering, data science, UX, architecture, and risk partners to deliver solutions rapidly and responsibly
  • Make pragmatic tradeoffs across scope, speed, risk, and value—while maintaining momentum
  • Drive adoption of enterprise AI tools, ensuring associates have access, are equipped to utilize these solutions effectively and in compliance with evolving regulations and Capital realizes potential benefits.
  • Apply strong working knowledge of modern AI concepts (e.g., LLMs, agentic workflows, retrieval, orchestration, evaluation, and monitoring) to product decisions
  • Ensure solutions are designed with responsible AI, governance, and control considerations embedded from the start
  • Help codify reusable patterns, playbooks, and learnings to scale AI capabilities across Capital Group
  • Act as a trusted product partner to business, technology, information security and legal/compliance leaders
  • Facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholders with differing incentives and levels of AI maturity
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively—whether in executive forums, working sessions, or written artifacts
  • Mentor other product managers and help raise the overall bar for product thinking within the AI domain
