About The Position

Lifebit is launching a new AI product line and is hiring an AI Product Lead to own it end to end. You will set the product strategy and roadmap, lead product marketing and positioning, and build the product hands-on with our engineering team. This is a foundational role with direct influence over what we build, who we build it for and how it reaches the market.

Requirements

  • 5 to 15 years of product experience
  • A biomedical background (biology, computational biology, genetics or a related discipline); this is a requirement. You understand science at the level of a working scientist and can engage credibly with biomedical and genetic researchers
  • Shipped products to a biomedical scientist user base; this is a firm requirement
  • Deep familiarity with AI/ML product development and the current LLM ecosystem
  • A track record of working directly with engineering teams to build and ship, not only to specify
  • Strong product marketing instincts, able to position technical products for enterprise buyers
  • All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Nice To Haves

  • Biomedical research acumen: Experience in genetics, biomedical research, or Bioinformatics is a significant plus, but a passion for the field is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Own product strategy and roadmap for a new enterprise AI product line
  • Build the product with the engineering team, from discovery through shipping and iteration
  • Own product marketing: positioning, messaging and launch execution
  • Hire exceptional new team members into the product organisation as the unit scales
  • Translate the needs of scientific users into product decisions, working directly with customers
  • Report directly to the CEO on product progress and adoption
