About The Position

Services provides global solutions that help corporations, financial institutions, public sector and commercial clients optimize operations and drive their business forward. Through our five business lines – Liquidity Management Services, Payments, Trade & Working Capital Solutions, Investor Services and Issuer Services - we provide cash management, payments/receivables solutions, working capital solutions, post-trade securities services and issuer services across Citi’s global network. Shape the future of AI in global trade finance — this is a senior product and innovation leadership role within Citi's Trade & Working Capital Solutions (TWCS) business, one of the firm's most strategically significant franchises operating across 160+ countries. In this AI Product & Innovation role, you will own the end-to-end AI innovation agenda for TWCS — from structured market intelligence and use case design through to MLOps transformation and AI ecosystem development — converting AI ambition into scalable, client-ready trade finance capabilities. This is a rare opportunity for a commercially minded, technically fluent product leader to drive measurable business impact at the intersection of AI strategy, engineering, and global trade finance.

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of experience in product management, innovation, strategy, or technology roles, with demonstrated delivery of large-scale AI or technology-led initiatives in financial services or fintech.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver AI use cases — from initial concept and feasibility assessment through to production-ready solutions — in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Solid grasp of MLOps concepts and model lifecycle management, including the engineering infrastructure required to deploy and scale AI and ML solutions in regulated enterprise environments.
  • Experience conducting structured market research and competitive intelligence, with the ability to synthesise complex signals into clear, actionable business recommendations and prioritised opportunity pipelines.
  • Commercial acumen — including the ability to build compelling business cases, evaluate AI opportunities against ROI and strategic fit, and lead prioritisation decisions with clarity and rigour.
  • Skilled at influencing without authority and building consensus across Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Business functions in a matrixed global organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrable ability to translate complex AI and technical concepts into clear narratives for business, executive, and client audiences.
  • Experience leading structured ideation, design thinking, or innovation processes — including facilitating co-creation workshops with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Background in trade finance, transaction banking, payments, or financial infrastructure — with a working knowledge of trade finance instruments, workflows, and client dynamics.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience contributing to MLOps frameworks, AI platform architecture, or data engineering solutions in an enterprise setting.
  • Experience building or managing technology partner ecosystems, vendor relationships, or innovation programmes within a large financial institution or fintech environment.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and large language models, and their practical application to document-intensive trade finance workflows and enterprise productivity.
  • Experience with agile delivery methodologies and OKR-based planning, including leading cross-functional product teams at scale.
  • Exposure to AI governance, responsible AI frameworks, or model risk management practices in a regulated financial services context.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the Trade Explorer initiative — a structured programme to identify, evaluate, and prioritise AI-driven opportunities across the trade finance landscape — building a dynamic opportunity pipeline and managing programme governance from discovery through to validated business cases.
  • Define and develop AI use cases across the full TWCS product portfolio, spanning Letters of Credit automation, supply chain finance intelligence, counterparty risk scoring, and sanctions screening — producing comprehensive assessments covering client value, data requirements, commercial viability, and estimated ROI.
  • Design and drive the MLOps transformation roadmap for TWCS AI — establishing the infrastructure, tooling, and standards that enable scalable, auditable model deployment, covering model versioning, CI/CD pipelines, feature store design, monitoring frameworks, and retraining protocols.
  • Build and manage the TWCS AI product ecosystem — identifying and onboarding strategic technology partners, fintech innovators, cloud AI providers, and data vendors — defining integration standards and partner evaluation frameworks to ensure interoperability and scalability across the AI product landscape.
  • Lead structured AI ideation processes across the TWCS organisation — facilitating innovation workshops, ideation sprints, and client co-creation sessions — and translate validated concepts into detailed AI solution blueprints covering use case narrative, data architecture, model design, go-to-market strategy, and delivery roadmap.
  • Set and monitor OKRs and KPIs for TWCS AI initiatives — applying an agile, test-and-learn delivery approach to accelerate time-to-market and ensure programme milestones, quality standards, and commercial targets are consistently met.
  • Serve as a senior advocate for the TWCS AI innovation agenda — articulating the AI product vision to business leadership, technology partners, and external stakeholders, and building a culture of structured experimentation and commercial rigour across the organisation.
