Born out of the engineering labs at Bungalow, we’re reimagining property management from the ground up — building an AI-native architecture that streamlines operations, delivers real value to customers and operators, and lets us scale faster than anyone in the industry. We’re hiring an AI Product Engineer to build the workflows and tools that power that vision. You'll live at the intersection of software, AI, and operations: one week an automation that saves an ops team hours a day, the next an AI feature the whole company relies on. You’ll build with the freedom of a new platform, backed by real users and rich operational data, and see your work make an immediate impact. Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering, including shipping production AI features.
- You can stand up a backend service, build a frontend application, and design an agentic workflow — and move between them comfortably.
- At ease working directly with operators and customers — you'd rather see a problem where it happens than read about it in a ticket.
- You turn ambiguous operational problems into shipped software. You choose the work that moves the business.
Responsibilities
- Build & Ship Fast: Turn operational problems into working software quickly — routing work orders, coordinating vendors, answering residents, keeping rent on track.
- Build with AI at the Core: AI carries real operations here — supporting residents, triaging maintenance — so evaluation, observability, and human feedback loops matter as much as the model.
- Embed with Operators: Shadow real workflows, find the bottlenecks, and ship high-leverage solutions that unblock the people doing the work.
- Own the Outcome: Take problems from idea to production — the code, the data, the deployment, and the results.
- Stay Curious: Follow what's new in AI closely, test it quickly, and keep what makes us faster. Improve how we build, not just what we build.
