About The Position
We are seeking a Senior ML Engineer / Data Scientist to join a 14-member Agile POD supporting the Bank of America AI/ML engagement. This role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying Large Language Model (LLM) and Generative AI solutions that drive intelligent automation and data-driven decision-making across banking operations. This role requires being onsite 3 days per week in Plano, TX. This role has a 5 days away mandate per quarter by the client.
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science and Machine Learning Engineering
- Minimum 2+ years of direct experience working with LLMs, Generative AI, or NLP solutions in a production environment (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, LLaMA, Mistral or similar)
- Experience building LLM-powered applications such as chatbots, summarization, classification, and document extraction.
- Proficiency in prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and fine-tuning techniques
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong communication skills with ability to work across onshore/offshore teams and client stakeholders.
- Self-starter comfortable in fast-paced Agile POD environments
Nice To Haves
- Experience in BFSI domain.
- Exposure to LLM-as-a-Judge evaluation frameworks.
- Knowledge of responsible AI and model explainability (SHAP, LIME).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Azure ML Studio, Databricks, or Snowflake experience.
