About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring an AI Full Stack Developer in Dearborn, Michigan. This hands-on role builds and supports data and AI products intended to improve vehicle design, reduce cost and complexity, and support teams across product development. The developer works with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver measurable value to users, building software features end to end and supporting them in production. The role includes developing across front-end, back-end, and data layers; turning prototypes into secure, reliable, maintainable software; shaping designs, data models, APIs, and integrations; and building AI features with appropriate guardrails, evaluation, and human oversight. The developer connects products to engineers’ existing tools and data, including legacy systems, and contributes to testing, code review, security, CI/CD, observability, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and early identification of technical debt and quality risks.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience on product teams.
  • Full-stack experience with modern web front ends such as React, back-end services and APIs such as Node.js or Python, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and cloud platforms such as GCP.
  • Solid data modeling and API design skills.
  • Hands-on use of AI coding tools and interest or experience in building LLM-based features.
  • Good engineering practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, code review, and security awareness.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A bachelor’s degree is also listed as required education.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with agent frameworks, MCP, retrieval-augmented generation, or LLM evaluation.
  • Experience building tools for engineers, such as design, simulation, test, calibration, PLM, or manufacturing tools.
  • Automotive or manufacturing domain experience.
  • Experience working with distributed or vendor teams.
  • Master’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Build, release, and support production features end to end across front-end, back-end, and data layers.
  • Help turn working prototypes into secure, reliable, and maintainable software.
  • Propose designs, weigh trade-offs, and help shape data models, APIs, and integrations.
  • Use AI coding tools and build AI features with guardrails, evaluation, and human oversight.
  • Connect products to existing engineering tools and data, including legacy systems.
  • Write automated tests, review pull requests, and follow good practices for security, CI/CD, and observability.
  • Spend time with engineers who use the products and apply what is learned to improve them.
  • Share knowledge, pair with teammates, and help newer engineers, including vendor engineers.
  • Flag technical debt, risks, and quality concerns early and provide options to address them.
