About The Position
Strategic Workforce Development (SWD) is offering a free, hands-on class called AI for Work, designed to teach job seekers and working adults how to utilize AI in their daily work and personal lives. The curriculum focuses on Claude, an AI assistant, ensuring participants gain proficiency in one tool. The course covers practical applications such as using Claude for writing various documents (emails, resumes, cover letters, reports), organizing workloads, planning projects, integrating AI with existing tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and understanding safe and responsible AI usage, including verification of AI-generated content. A module on 'Leadership for AI' will also teach how to effectively direct AI. The class consists of four hands-on sessions spread over two weeks, with a real-world assessment at the end. Computers are provided on-site, and no prior experience is required.

- Must bring a valid photo ID to the first in-person class.
