About The Position

Appian is seeking a high-energy, tech-savvy AI Evangelist to lead an "AI-First" cultural transformation. This role focuses on empowering employees across all departments with practical AI capabilities, rather than back-end engineering. The AI Evangelist will be the internal face of AI, responsible for "Appianizing" productivity by simplifying complex AI tools into repeatable workflows that save time, spark creativity, and inspire the workforce.

Requirements

Deep, "inside-out" knowledge of the Google Gemini ecosystem and Claude.
Comfortable with prompting, building custom "Gems," and automating workflows within these suites.
Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical audiences, acting as a teacher, marketer, and coach.
A "digital native" mindset with the agility to quickly adapt to new features and create demos.
Strong instinct for decomposing manual tasks into AI-assisted, repeatable processes.
Already using AI tools for personal projects and automation.

Responsibilities

Partner with "AI Champions" in every department to identify use cases and demos that demonstrate tangible value.
Serve as the resident expert on Google Gemini (Sheets, Slides, Docs, Gmail) and Claude (Cowork), staying updated on new features.
Act as a hands-on consultant for knowledge workers, assisting them in using AI tools for tasks like creating marketing campaigns from LinkedIn posts or slide decks from Word documents.
Drive "bottoms-up" innovation by making employees feel the company is investing in their future, reducing AI-related fear and promoting mastery.
Partner with IT and Security to ensure AI usage adheres to company guardrails, preventing "Shadow IT" while encouraging creative exploration.
