About The Position

A successful AI Engineering Specialist at Fiserv builds the platforms, standards, and accelerators that help teams develop AI solutions faster, more safely, and with greater consistency. They also help strengthen technical governance, reusable frameworks, and engineering excellence as we continue advancing AI across the enterprise.

Requirements

• 1 or more years of software engineering experience using Python or a similar programming language.
• 1 or more years of experience developing APIs, microservices, and systems integrations.
• 1 or more years of hands-on experience with pipelines, workflow automation, CI/CD practices, and cloud-based scalable platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• 1 or more years of experience with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, or AI agents.
• 1 or more years of experience building and evolving internal engineering platforms.
• 1 or more years of experience with orchestration or operations tools such as Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, MLOps, LLMOps, vector databases, containers, or Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal platforms, frameworks, accelerators, reusable libraries, templates, and toolkits for AI-powered solutions, including generative AI and large language model integrations.
• Design build, deployment, evaluation, and monitoring pipelines for AI applications and implement observability, continuous evaluation, and ongoing improvement practices.
• Enable engineering teams with best practices in prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, security, and reliability.
• Integrate AI solutions with APIs, microservices, enterprise applications, and data platforms.
• Define and document technical standards, architectural guidelines, governance practices, and knowledge assets that support scalability, reusability, productivity, and large-scale adoption.
