AI Engineering Intern
About The Position
Propio Language Services is seeking a motivated and ambitious AI Engineering Intern for its Summer Internship Program, a nine-plus-week experience offering students real-world client work and mentorship from industry-leading professionals. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to software development, DevOps, quality assurance, and the broader operations of AI engineering while contributing to meaningful projects in a fast-paced environment. The program is onsite and offers competitive hourly pay, mentorship, learning and development, networking opportunities, and social events. Full-time employment upon graduation may be possible.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Interest in learning and contributing to programming languages and frameworks such as LangChain and PyTorch.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future employment visa sponsorship.

- Prior internship or office experience; not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, testing, and deploying production AI systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams on real-world projects.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and sprint planning meetings.
- Help identify bugs and performance issues through testing and troubleshooting.
- Support the development of internal tools, features, or enhancements based on team needs.
- Contribute to documentation of technical processes, APIs, and system designs.
- Learn and apply best practices in version control, agile development, and DevOps processes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, programming languages, and software development trends.
- Take ownership of a small project or feature from concept to completion with team mentorship.
