About The Position

At the Trudell Medical Group of Companies, our vision is to provide patients worldwide with medical devices and services that improve their lives. The Group manufactures and globally markets leading brands in respiratory care, including AeroChamber® valved holding chambers, Aerobika® OPEP devices, and AeroEclipse® nebulizers. Trudell Medical Limited is the Corporate entity within the Trudell Medical Group of Companies and operates from our offices in London, Ontario, Canada. We are seeking an AI Engineer to join our team in St. John's, Newfoundland. This is an office-based role requiring full-time onsite work at our St. John's, Newfoundland office.

Requirements

5-10 years of professional experience in AI/Software Engineering projects.
Proficiency with REACT, Javascript, Python, NodeJS, or GO.
Experience with AWS and cloud-based services.
Experience working with LLMs.
Familiarity with SQL databases.
Familiarity with using AI tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
Understanding of basic DevOps practices, CI/CD, and version control (Git).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical ability.
Great problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain AI and machine learning applications.
Collaborate with senior engineers to refine models and develop applications.
Ensure data integrity and optimize pipelines.
Code, research, and implement solutions to solve business problems.
Implement enterprise software for operating companies under the guidance of the Director of Software Engineering.
Build and maintain data ingestion and preprocessing pipelines.
Identify relevant features and engineer new features to improve AI software performance.
Work alongside product teams, data scientists, and software engineers to align with business requirements.
Maintain clear documentation of data sources, architecture, and analysis steps.
