About The Position

Sagard is seeking an AI-enabled Marketing Builder to support the planning and execution of high-impact, AI-first marketing and communications initiatives that strengthen Sagard’s brand and contribute to capital-raising and business growth. This role blends creative execution with technological fluency. It brings an innovation mindset to how marketing is built, measured, and scaled. The successful candidate will combine strong marketing fundamentals with hands-on experience leveraging AI tools and automation to improve performance, efficiency, and insight. Reporting to the VP, Marketing Communications, this role offers a unique opportunity to work across content creation, digital campaigns, public relations, events, and brand strategy, all while leveraging AI tools and automation to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, analytical builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment, experiments thoughtfully with emerging technologies, and applies data and insight to continuously improve outcomes within a leading global investment firm.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital media, ideally in financial services, asset management, or professional services.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience building with AI tools, models, or APIs; able to point to concrete examples of prompts, automations, workflows, or lightweight applications that delivered measurable value
  • Comfortable operating across the low-code to high-code spectrum; understands when to use visual automation tools and when direct scripting or API integration is more appropriate
  • Strong analytical mindset; designs and interprets experiments, validates assumptions with data, and consistently uses insights to refine campaign and content decisions
  • Experience assessing new technologies through both an innovation and risk lens, balancing experimentation with enterprise standards and security considerations
  • Evidence of driving change in prior roles by adopting new technologies and bringing others along in the process
  • Familiarity with social media marketing (especially LinkedIn, YouTube) and content production workflows
  • Experience with marketing tools (e.g., HubSpot, CMS, email platforms, social media scheduling, or analytics) a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
  • For all positions in Québec, proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written, is mandatory. English is required due to regular interaction with colleagues and external partners outside Québec.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage AI tools and automation platforms to improve marketing workflows, content production, and campaign performance
  • Design, test, and deploy prompts, automations, or applications that solve real marketing or communications challenges
  • Support evaluation and experiment with emerging AI technologies, assessing their applicability within Sagard’s enterprise architecture, data governance, and security standards
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes through low-code tools (e.g., automation platforms) or custom scripts and APIs where appropriate
  • Contribute to adoption and knowledge sharing of new technologies within the marketing team, helping colleagues experiment, learn, and scale what works
  • Assist in developing and distributing marketing and thought leadership materials across Sagard’s digital channels (website, LinkedIn, newsletters, and video).
  • Help manage the content calendar and coordinate with internal stakeholders
  • Support the launch of social and digital campaigns, including paid and organic LinkedIn initiatives.
  • Monitor performance metrics and help prepare simple reporting dashboards and insights
  • Maintain marketing tools and systems (CRM lists, image libraries, performance tracking).
  • Support reporting on campaign outcomes and audience engagement
  • Collaborate closely with business teams across geographies to ensure consistent brand representation and messaging
