About The Position

Ideagen builds software for organizations that operate where precision truly matters. In highly regulated environments, accuracy and trust are not optional—they are critical. As we continue to expand our AI‑driven capabilities across EHS, Quality, and Compliance, we are looking for an AI Domain Lead to define the standards that ensure our models are reliable, defensible, and fit for real‑world decision‑making. This is a pivotal role focused on regulated industry expertise and product innovation. You won’t be measured by depth in a single framework, but by your ability to bring clarity and consistency across many. You will define what “right” looks like, so that domain experts, AI systems, and product teams are aligned around a single, shared understanding of correctness. The standards you set will directly shape how our AI learns, how it is trusted, and how it delivers value to customers who cannot afford ambiguity or error. AI familiarity is not a requirement for this role. Cross-domain regulatory authority and the ability to translate practitioner knowledge into written standards is. We will bring you up to speed on the tools and workflows; you bring the breadth and judgment that makes everything downstream trustworthy.

Requirements

  • Cross-domain experience across at least EHS and Quality Management, gained in regulated industry environments where standards are applied operationally
  • Working knowledge of multiple regulatory frameworks and jurisdictions, with an understanding of how principles translate across sectors and contexts
  • Experience defining, writing, or owning standards, frameworks, audit criteria, or evaluation guidelines used by others to make consistent decisions
  • Comfortable arbitrating between experienced practitioners, providing clear, well‑reasoned judgments that are trusted and documented for future use
  • Ability to write with precision and clarity, producing guidance that reduces ambiguity while allowing for professional judgement
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and understand how early standards shape long‑term system behaviour and product trustworthiness
  • Genuine interest in how AI is being applied in regulated environments and want to help ensure these tools are safe, reliable, and credible in practice

Responsibilities

  • Defining, maintaining, and evolving annotation standards across EHS, Quality, and Compliance use cases to ensure consistent, repeatable decision-making across domains and jurisdictions
  • Establishing evaluation frameworks and quality benchmarks for AI model outputs, including scoring rubrics, calibration criteria, and edge‑case testing scenarios
  • Leading and calibrating a team of domain experts, supporting alignment of judgement, resolving differences in interpretation, and embedding shared standards into everyday workflows
  • Owning the regulatory corpus strategy, deciding which frameworks, regulations, and industry standards are represented in the model and at what depth, based on product and customer needs
  • Working closely with content teams to assess existing regulatory material, identify gaps, and translate formal standards into operational guidance suitable for AI training
  • Partnering with AI Product and Engineering teams to inform use case prioritisation, roadmap decisions, and release readiness from a regulatory perspective
  • Acting as a domain authority in internal and external discussions, ensuring regulatory accuracy and operational credibility are central to product development decisions

Benefits

  • Benefits at Ideagen
  • Flexible arrangements
