About The Position

EY’s Platforms Practice builds mission-critical, intelligent platforms for ambitious organizations using a product-driven, AI-centric approach. The Senior Application Designer and Developer will help deliver software and platform solutions, identifying and defining user and customer requirements and developing software components and services that work with upstream and downstream components. The role may involve user interfaces across mobile, web, and tablet platforms, as well as backend and distributed systems work. The position involves collaborating with clients and stakeholders, designing and developing software, and writing maintainable code and specifications that meet business requirements. The engineer will contribute to technical design and architecture decisions, work in an Agile/Scrum environment, and support high-quality delivery through peer reviews and testing. Regular client travel may be required. The position is open to locations anywhere in the country.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (four-year degree) required.
Typically 2–4 years of relevant experience.
3–5+ years of experience with Java or C#.
3–5+ years of experience with Spring Boot, .NET, or .NET Core.
Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals.
Experience with unit testing or test-driven development (TDD).
Strong understanding of agile delivery and development methodologies.
Proficiency in application development tools and quality assurance practices.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with staff at all levels.
Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
Self-directed and quick learner across languages and technologies.
Analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude.
Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and build effective client relationships.

Responsibilities
