About The Position

The AI-Directed Engineer is responsible for designing and delivering software by directing AI systems to do the majority of the work, moving ideas from concept to demo and into production at high speed. Rather than writing every line of code, this role focuses on breaking problems into AI-executable tasks, guiding and refining AI-generated output, and ensuring quality, performance, and real customer value. Operating in an AI-first environment, the AI-Directed Engineer owns end-to-end delivery, continuously improves workflows and tooling, and helps drive the organization from AI-assisted development toward fully AI-delegated software delivery. AI is your primary implementation engine. You are not expected to manually write every line of code — you are expected to direct AI to do it. You will use AI to generate code, accelerate development, and explore solutions rapidly. However, every AI-generated output is treated as a starting point, not a finished product. You are responsible for validating correctness, handling edge cases, and ensuring production readiness. You will continuously improve how AI is used, increasing speed without sacrificing quality. This role is about building real software, fast, by directing AI instead of competing with it. Requirements

Strong software engineering foundation (APIs, systems, debugging, data flows).
Experience using AI tools to generate or accelerate code.
Ability to validate, debug, and refine AI-generated output.
Comfort working in fast, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environments.
Bias toward action and delivering working software over perfect design.
Systems thinking — ability to understand how components interact at scale.
Willingness to challenge both human and AI-generated assumptions.
