About The Position

Church & Dwight Co., Inc. is offering a 2027 graduate co-op opportunity with Global Technology & Analytics. Beginning at the end of May 2027 and running through March 2028, the AI Developer Co-op will work alongside technology, data, and business professionals to explore, prototype, test, and implement responsible AI solutions that address real-world business challenges. The experience also includes exposure to leadership, professional development, networking events, and opportunities to connect with students across functions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a master’s program in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Programming experience with Python or another relevant language, plus foundational knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data science.
  • Experience working with data and developing technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability and interest in working a hybrid schedule in Ewing, NJ during Summer 2027 and remotely during school semesters.
  • US work authorization required; candidates must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with generative AI, LLMs, or applied AI projects through coursework, research, internships, or personal projects.
  • Familiarity with APIs and AI/ML frameworks such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, or similar technologies.
  • Exposure to RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, AI agents, or model evaluation techniques.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Git/GitHub, testing, version control, notebooks, and modern software development practices.
  • Familiarity with data and analytics tools such as SQL, Power BI, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and prototype AI and machine learning solutions that address real-world business needs.
  • Build and test applications using generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and related technologies.
  • Create prompts, workflows, and evaluation methods to improve the quality and usefulness of AI-generated outputs.
  • Prepare, transform, and retrieve structured and unstructured data for AI applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable code using Python, SQL, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Explore APIs, AI/ML frameworks, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI agents.
  • Assess AI solutions for accuracy, reliability, safety, performance, and business value, and recommend improvements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and prototypes.
  • Document technical approaches, assumptions, test results, and recommendations.
  • Present prototypes, findings, and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Research emerging AI capabilities and identify opportunities for responsible use across the organization.
