2027 Internship - AI & Data Science Intern - Analytic Capabilities
About The Position

To address these emerging national challenges, we design and develop scalable software systems that leverage data science, visualization, large language models, and artificial intelligence across various domains, including social media analysis, healthcare, cybersecurity, and signal & image processing.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related technical field
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale
- Have experience with Python, Java, Kotlin, R, Javascript, MATLAB, or C++/C
- Have interest/experience in AI/ML solutions
- Are able to ultimately obtain a Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
Nice To Haves
- Have experience dealing with large data sets, pattern recognition, or statistical analysis
- Have practical experience developing software using Git, Maven, Poetry, or similar build tools
- Have practical experience working with web interfaces, visualization tools, or frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Have practical experience and/or interest with LLM engineering such as prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or agentic frameworks
