About The Position

As a Sr. Associate in Sales Technology & Analytics Enablement, the AI Data Readiness Analyst advances the data, analytics, and AI capabilities that support Alcon’s commercial organization. Based onsite at Alcon’s Fort Worth, Texas headquarters, the role works with cross-functional teams across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America to ensure trusted, high-quality data supports commercial insights, business intelligence, and AI-driven decision-making.

The position contributes to data governance, data quality, analytics enablement, AI readiness, metadata management, and commercial analytics initiatives. In partnership with Sales, Analytics, Data Engineering, IT, and business stakeholders, the analyst transforms complex data into trusted business assets for reporting, decision-making, and emerging AI technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of directly related experience; stated equivalencies include high school plus 10 years, an associate degree plus 6 years, or an M.S. plus 0 years.
• Fluency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English.
• Two years of relevant experience.
• Strong SQL and data management skills, including experience validating data quality, investigating data issues, and supporting analytics and reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of data governance, data integrity, metadata management, database structures, data models, and business metrics.
• Experience translating business requirements into documented data definitions, standards, and governance practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or other highly governed industries.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, data governance tools such as Atlan, analytics solutions such as Alteryx, and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Exposure to analytics, business intelligence, AI, machine learning, or data-readiness initiatives, including semantic business definitions and AI-ready data frameworks.
• Experience supporting commercial, sales, customer, or CRM data environments.
• Familiarity with emerging AI technologies, generative AI, and intelligent agent solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Commercial, Analytics, Data Engineering, and Business teams to establish trusted data foundations for reporting, business intelligence, and AI-driven decision-making.
• Build and maintain business definitions, metrics, data standards, and semantic models to enable consistent interpretation of data across analytics platforms and AI solutions.
• Profile datasets, perform validation checks, investigate discrepancies, and implement improvements to data quality, integrity, and governance.
• Manage and enhance data catalog content, including metadata, business definitions, ownership, lineage, and documentation.
• Assess data assets against AI-readiness and governance standards, identify opportunities for improvement, and work with stakeholders to implement scalable best practices.
• Collaborate with business partners to define key metrics, document requirements, and translate business needs into actionable data solutions.
• Support analytics, AI, and machine learning initiatives by helping ensure data products, business rules, and reporting structures are accurate, governed, and ready for enterprise use.
• Troubleshoot data- and AI-related issues, identify root causes, and drive continuous improvement in data quality, documentation, and reporting processes.
• Monitor data readiness, governance compliance, catalog coverage, and data quality metrics across North America, Latin America, and Canada.
