About The Position

Oracle is seeking an experienced and self-motivated AI Data Platform Sales Representative to join their team. This role is responsible for new account development and growing existing accounts within State & Local Government in Houston/Harris County, Texas, and Dallas County, Texas. The position involves identifying, qualifying, and delivering Oracle’s end-to-end Data Platform and cloud products and solutions across PaaS and IaaS pillars via private or public cloud. The sales representative will develop account plans, coordinate with sales teams and partners, become a trusted advisor to key customer influencers and decision-makers, and drive company strategy into assigned accounts. They will follow established sales methodologies and processes, ensure sales programs are known and completed in their territory, and achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals for both cloud and on-prem solutions. Travel may be required.

Requirements

  • 5 plus years relevant work experience.
  • BS/BA preferred.
  • Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
  • Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and deliver Oracle’s end-to-end Data Platform and cloud products and solutions across PaaS and IaaS pillars via private or public cloud.
  • Develop and execute the account plan to drive goal attainment in assigned territory.
  • Coordinate with other members of the sales team (employees and partners) to support account sales and business development strategies.
  • Identify and engage the appropriate partner to meet customer specifications.
  • Become a trusted advisor to key customer influencers and decision makers.
  • Drive company strategy into assigned accounts.
  • Follow all companies' methodologies and processes related to sales opportunity pursuit.
  • Ensure that the company's sales programs are known and completed in assigned territory, including personal follow-up and engagement in selected opportunities.
  • Achieve or exceed the quarterly and annual sales goals for both cloud solutions and their respective on-prem solutions.
