About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an AI / Data Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing scalable data integration platforms and AI-enabled solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data engineering, real-time and batch processing, and AI/GenAI application development using modern cloud, data, and machine learning technologies within a highly regulated environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, AI/ML Engineering, or related technology roles
• Strong programming skills in Scala or Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with data integration solutions using Informatica, Hadoop, and Oracle
• Experience building AI/GenAI applications utilizing LLMs, RAG architectures, and vector databases
• Experience with real-time, near real-time, and batch processing solutions
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and testing
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams
• Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with API integration and event-driven architectures (Kafka preferred)
• OpenShift/Kubernetes container technologies
• CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with distributed data processing technologies such as Spark and Hive
• Understanding of MLOps, model monitoring, and AI governance

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable data integration platforms and AI-enabled solutions
• Leverage modern cloud, data, and machine learning technologies
• Collaborate with global teams to build resilient data pipelines, AI-driven solutions, and production-grade platforms
• Ensure security, compliance, scalability, and operational excellence in highly regulated environments
