About The Position

As a Data Analyst on our AI Engineering team, you'll turn raw data into insight that directly shapes how FICO's platform and business evolves. This isn't a typical analyst role: you're joining a team at the forefront of building and scaling AI-powered tools across the company, which means AI will be woven into how you explore data, clean it, analyze it, and communicate what you find. You'll also help spread that capability, coaching colleagues across FICO on how to put these tools to work in their own roles. You'll partner closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders, digging into data, building the pipelines and reporting that make sense of it, and surfacing the trends that inform decisions ranging from customer risk assessment to how FICO improves its own internal processes. It's a rare combination: the chance to develop deep fluency in FICO's data ecosystem and in cutting-edge AI tooling, all while your work has a direct line to decisions that matter, on a team that's collaborative, ambitious, and genuinely curious about what's next.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or similar analytical role, ideally within financial services, technology, or another data-intensive industry.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL is essential, along with hands-on experience in a scripting or analysis language such as Python or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is expected, as is a solid grounding in statistics, including hypothesis testing and experimental design.
  • Hands-on experience with, AI tools such as LLM-based assistants, AI coding copilots, or AI-powered analytics platforms, along with a demonstrated interest in staying current with the fast-evolving AI tooling landscape and applying it practically to everyday analytical work.
  • Experience working with large or complex datasets, and comfort navigating both relational databases and, ideally, big data or cloud data platforms (such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, or BigQuery) will help you succeed in this role.
  • Clear written and verbal communication is essential, as you'll regularly present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences and will be expected to coach others on AI tool adoption, and strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity will serve you well as you dig into open-ended business questions.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to machine learning concepts, prompt engineering, or working alongside data science and AI engineering teams is a strong plus.
  • An advanced degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, clean, and validate data from multiple internal and external sources to ensure it's accurate, consistent, and ready for analysis, using AI-assisted tools to accelerate data preparation and quality checks wherever appropriate.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that give stakeholders clear, timely visibility into business and product performance, and you'll experiment with AI-powered analytics and reporting tools to make these outputs faster to produce and easier to act on.
  • Partner with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to translate business questions into well-scoped analyses, and to translate analytical findings back into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences, using AI tools to speed up exploratory analysis, drafting, and synthesis of findings.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis and statistical testing, including A/B test design and evaluation, to help teams make evidence-based decisions with confidence.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries against large, complex datasets, and contribute to the development of repeatable, well-documented analytics workflows, incorporating AI coding and query assistants into your day-to-day work to improve speed and quality.
  • Help monitor key business and product metrics, flagging anomalies or emerging trends and helping teams understand their root causes.
  • As part of the AI Engineering team, you'll also act as an internal champion for applied AI, sharing practical techniques, prompting strategies, and lessons learned with analysts and other teams across FICO, helping less experienced colleagues build confidence and skill in using AI tools effectively and responsibly in their own work.
  • Document methodologies and best practices for both traditional analytics and AI-assisted workflows to support the wider analytics community at FICO.

Benefits
