About The Position

We are seeking a full-stack developer to help build AI-powered cyber defense applications and agent workflows. This role combines hands-on prototype development with integration and support of existing production infrastructure. You will develop applications that connect security telemetry, machine learning models, monitoring agents, and specialized response agents. You will also help build the underlying agent systems, including coordination, event escalation, secure information sharing, and controlled response execution. The platform uses a tiered approach, lightweight detection models and smaller monitoring agents assess activity and escalate relevant events to more capable agents configured for investigation and response. These workflows should adapt as new information becomes available and operate independently within defined permissions. The work primarily involves integrating existing models, inference services, and security tools. You will collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure specialists to turn concepts into working prototypes, evaluate their behavior, and support their progression toward operational use.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience with software development, including backend services, application development, system integrations, and performance improvements
  • 4+ years of experience developing full-stack applications and API integrations, including user interfaces, backend services, application state, and relational databases
  • 2+ years of experience developing, monitoring, or supporting cloud production systems, including troubleshooting application defects, data pipelines, and service integrations
  • 1+ year of experience integrating AI-powered workflows into existing applications or business processes
  • Experience in JavaScript or TypeScript and backend development using technologies such as Node.js, Python, or C# and building REST or GraphQL integrations and working with SQL databases
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or Next.js and event-driven processing, asynchronous workflows, and coordination between dependent services
  • Experience developing software using agentic coding tools is required, including using agents to implement features, investigate defects, refactor code, and develop tests
  • Knowledge of application security boundaries, authentication, authorization, isolated execution, and secure data exchange
  • Ability to develop working prototypes, troubleshoot unfamiliar systems, and maintain existing production applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity

Responsibilities

  • Develop full-stack applications: Build web interfaces, dashboards, backend services, and APIs for configuring agents, reviewing security events, and managing investigations and response workflows.
  • Build agent workflows and networks: Implement coordination, task delegation, shared context, dynamic routing, and event-driven escalation between agents.
  • Connect detection and response systems: Integrate conventional neural networks, anomaly detectors, and smaller monitoring agents with larger, specialized investigation and response agents.
  • Develop testing sandboxes: Create isolated, reproducible environments for testing individual agents and multi-agent swarms using simulated incidents, synthetic telemetry, and replayable scenarios.
  • Integrate existing models and tools: Connect model APIs, inference services, security platforms, and response tools. Implement tool calling, structured outputs, context retrieval, and validation.
  • Support secure data sharing: Develop messaging and shared-state mechanisms with appropriate access controls, credential handling, provenance tracking, and audit trails.
  • Implement controlled autonomy: Enable independent operation within defined permissions, with approval gates, execution limits, emergency stops, and recovery mechanisms where needed.
  • Evaluate system behavior: Test escalation accuracy, response effectiveness, false positives, latency, cost, and failure handling. Provide visibility into agent decisions and supporting evidence.
  • Support production infrastructure: Troubleshoot integrations, maintain services, improve monitoring, and contribute fixes and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Coordinate delivery: Translate requirements into actionable tasks, document implementation decisions, and collaborate on code reviews and project priorities.
