AI Change Manager

AvnetTempe, AZ

About The Position

The AI Change Manager is Avnet's dedicated owner of enterprise AI adoption, responsible for the human side of how AI lands across the organization. This role is accountable for turning AI strategy into real behavioral change: training employees to use AI confidently, building the programs that sustain adoption, and ensuring that new tools, agents, and ways of working actually stick. This role sits within the Enterprise Technology Portfolio and operates as part of a three-role AI function alongside the AI Product Manager and AI Solutions Analyst. While the AI Product Manager defines what AI initiatives are built and why, and the AI Solutions Analyst enables how they are delivered technically, the AI Change Manager owns how people adopt them, across a global workforce spanning three regions: Americas, APAC, and EMEA. The AI Change Manager requires someone who can translate complex AI capabilities into clear, role-relevant learning experiences, drive enterprise-wide communications that build employee trust in AI and build the programs that make adoption self-sustaining at scale.

Requirements

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in change management, organizational change, employee communications, or learning and development, ideally within a technology or enterprise environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to drive behavioral change and build alignment across an organization without direct authority, comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and regional partners through credibility, clarity, and relationships.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Copilot, with the ability to translate tool capabilities into practical, user-focused guidance.
  • Strong written communication skills, with experience crafting clear, engaging content for diverse employee audiences.
  • Experience coordinating across HR, communications, IT, and business stakeholders in a matrixed, global organization.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and self-direction is expected.
  • Applicants for this position must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an enterprise AI adoption strategy, segmented by persona and function, aligned to Avnet's Accelerate and Reimagine AI pillars.
  • Establish an adoption baseline and track engagement, utilization, and behavioral change across AI tools, agents, and programs.
  • Produce adoption reporting and insights for the AI Product Manager, AI CoP, and executive stakeholders.
  • Identify adoption gaps, readiness risks, and emerging barriers, and surface recommendations to address them.
  • Own the design, coordination, and rollout of Avnet's enterprise AI training programs, from foundational AI literacy to role-specific and function-specific tracks (e.g., Finance, Project Management, Communications, Admin).
  • Co-design role-based training tracks with HR and function sponsors, ensuring content reflects how AI tools support specific job responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with Microsoft and other partners on training content, tooling, and delivery support.
  • Maintain and evolve the enterprise AI training curriculum as tools, capabilities, and use cases change.
  • Own AI-related employee communications, including tool rollout messaging, adoption campaigns, and ongoing awareness efforts across the enterprise.
  • Draft clear, accessible, audience-appropriate content that builds confidence in AI, connecting changes to everyday work without relying on technical jargon.
  • Partner with HR and Marcomms to align AI messaging with broader organizational communications and brand standards.
  • Coordinate communications arising from AI Council and CoP decisions, ensuring employees receive timely, actionable guidance on approved tools and new ways of working.
  • Own Avnet's AI Hub, the internal resource center for AI guidance, keeping content current, role-accessible, and useful as the AI landscape evolves.
  • Maintain practical enablement resources including FAQs, how-to guides, use case examples, and the agent builder roster.
  • Drive utilization of the AI Hub as the enterprise go-to for AI tool guidance, reducing confusion and supporting confident, responsible AI use.
  • Assess workforce readiness at key milestones, including new tool rollouts, agentic AI expansion, and major strategic AI initiatives.
  • Partner with HR on capability planning related to AI, including skills mapping and readiness assessments tied to Avnet's broader talent strategy.
  • Provide the AI Product Manager with readiness inputs to inform prioritization and planning decisions.
  • Get oriented on Avnet's AI function, existing programs (AI Hub, training curriculum, AI CoP), and the FY27 operating model, and meet key stakeholders across HR, Marcomms, IT, and regional teams.
  • Establish an enterprise AI adoption baseline covering current training completion, tool engagement, and adoption signals across regions.
  • Begin the AI Hub refresh and develop a persona-based training plan as the foundation for FY27 adoption programs.
