About The Position

Xometry is seeking elite builders for its Machine Shop fellowship, a 1-year, full-time program with potential for conversion to a permanent role. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to be deeply embedded in product and engineering teams, developing and shipping AI-driven solutions for custom manufacturing clients. Fellows will work on agentic workflows, ML quoting models, and vision-based quality tools, contributing to an AI-first software product in a $275B industry that traditionally relies on manual processes. The program emphasizes practical experience and rapid iteration, with a focus on shipping production code weekly.

Requirements

Built and deployed something real with AI that can be demoed end-to-end.
Comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools to iterate at high velocity.
Working knowledge of Python and/or modern scripting environments.
1-3+ years of experience.
U.S. work authorization without current or future sponsorship.

Self-taught AI skills with a demonstrable body of work.
Experience hitting bureaucratic bottlenecks in previous roles and a desire to ship to production weekly.
