AI Automation Architect (Intern)

About The Position
TOP Internships provide real-world experience and hands-on training for college students or self-taught candidates interested in pursuing careers in AI, automation, technology, or IT operations. College credit coordination available upon request. This position is open to motivated candidates with a strong aptitude for AI tools, workflow automation, and operational problem-solving. Remote-first with approximately 15–20 hours per week and flexible scheduling.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a degree program (CS, IT, business, or related) — or self-taught with a portfolio to show
- Comfortable experimenting with AI tools and figuring things out independently as they evolve
- Organized, communicative, and reliable — you do what you say you'll do
- Genuinely energized by solving real operational problems, not just academic exercises
Nice To Haves
- Some experience with AI tools, automation platforms, or scripting is a plus — not required
Responsibilities
- Map TOP's existing workflows and identify meaningful AI automation opportunities
- Prototype and build automations using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Zapier, Make, or n8n
- Collaborate directly with TOP's founder and team to prioritize, test, and refine solutions
- Document what was built, why it was built, and how it works — clearly and completely
- Stay current on emerging AI tools and bring vetted ideas to the table
- Present progress and demos to internal stakeholders on a regular basis
