About The Position

In the assigned Job Role of Senior Technologist, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below: ⦁ Evaluate project requirements and use cases to deliver high-quality, design, frameworks, and production-ready code work products. ⦁ Design technology frameworks for complex scenarios, develop design patterns and reference implementations. Design reusable assets and conduct design reviews. ⦁ Deliver high-quality code across applications, databases, and integrations. ⦁ Optimize code, debug complex routines, and develop code generators and pilot implementations for reusable components, ensuring defect-free production-ready code. ⦁ Work closely with other teams to ensure alignment on project goals and technology implementations. ⦁ Provide technical guidance to peers and help maintain delivery consistency and code quality ⦁ Identify proof of concepts (PoCs) for emerging programming independently develop PoCs for new technologies and complex modules ensuring timely delivery. ⦁ Provide inputs for multi-technology and multi-language high risk deployments. ⦁ Evaluate and implement technical services to meet high-quality service (QoS) requirements, ensuring alignment with business and IT key performance indicators (KPIs). ⦁ Create reusable assets and deliver defect-free, impactful code to achieve quality benchmarks and Zero-Defect Delivery. ⦁ Support complex projects by resolving technical challenges and reducing risk exposure. ⦁ Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to inform decision-making and enhance project outcomes. ⦁ Support test automation and execute test strategies to drive quality improvements. Overview The Strategic Technology Group (STG) unit at Infosys is designed for power programmers and senior technologists who want to go beyond traditional development roles and take on complex, large-scale technology challenges. The STG unit brings together Specialist Programmers, Senior Technologists, and Technical Leaders who possess deep expertise across software design and development, cloud-native architectures, enterprise platforms, data engineering, and emerging technologies, including generative AI and agentic AI. Members of the STG unit play a strategic role in shaping technology direction, solving complex business challenges, and delivering resilient, high-quality outcomes. They are expected to demonstrate strong technical depth, sound architectural judgment, and hands-on leadership, while mentoring teams and influencing best practices across programs. The STG unit emphasizes software development excellence, innovation, and continuous upskilling. It offers experienced talent the opportunity to work on transformational initiatives, engage closely with stakeholders, and grow as trusted technology leaders within Infosys’ global delivery ecosystem.

Requirements

Core development & architecture experience
Strong Analysis and Design skills with deep expertise in core development, design & architect experience, implement design patterns, architecture patterns
Experience in developing and applying generative AI models.
Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, deep learning architectures, and natural language processing (NLP)
Experience in programming languages like Python and familiarity with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Experience in Open-Source frameworks and tools
Ability to write good quality and highly performant code
Experience in working in a fast-paced and agile environment
Effective collaboration and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to define project requirements, ensure technical feasibility, and integrate AI solutions seamlessly.
Stay up to date on the latest advancements in generative AI research and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our AI capabilities.
Champion responsible AI development practices, focusing on bias mitigation, fairness, and explainability.
Evaluate and review performance aspects of new and existing code.
Perform code reviews to ensure that quality is being maintained.
Perform POCs for any new technologies that we may leverage.
