About The Position

Provectus is hiring a hands-on AI Architect to embed with enterprise clients in financial services and healthcare, understand their operational work and constraints, and build AI systems that reach regulated production environments. The role involves working alongside client teams and a Forward Deployed Executive, taking ownership from problem framing through deployment, and autonomously choosing the method for delivering the solution.

The architect delivers work across Cowork Activation, Agentic SDLC, and Blueprint Activations. Provectus provides industry Blueprints—working systems previously shipped for customers—as starting points, with field learnings fed back into them. The role also helps shape enterprise AI adoption from strategy through first deployment and contributes tooling and frameworks to the growing AI delivery practice.

Provectus describes itself as an Anthropic and AWS Partner, with more than 150 certified architects, 350+ builders, and over 100 customers with systems in production. The company has been founder-led since 2010 and has offices across North America, LATAM, and EMEA. The position is full-time and involves on-site visits to client facilities and the company’s New York City office one day per week. No visa sponsorship is available.

Requirements

• Typically 7+ years of software-building experience, including substantial production coding for which the candidate was accountable.
• Currently hands-on and intending to remain hands-on.
• Willingness and demonstrated ability to understand another person’s job and become conversant quickly in an unfamiliar business function.
• Experience shipping GenAI/LLM systems to production, including challenges that arise beyond the prototype stage.
• Experience building or owning an evaluation suite for a non-deterministic system, and ability to explain what was measured and why.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to become productive in an unfamiliar codebase or language.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Cloud-native delivery experience on AWS, including operational considerations for systems inherited by others.
• Pre-sales experience and ability to communicate credibly with senior stakeholders, including business-unit heads and CTOs.
• Comfort with ambiguity, autonomous ownership, and engagements that begin underspecified.
• Hands-on experience with Claude, Claude Code, and Cowork, including skills, workflows, MCP, integrations, connectors, or custom harnesses.

Nice To Haves

• Production experience with containers and orchestration, such as Kubernetes or ECS, and CI/CD.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience with AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Open-source contributions or public writing about applied AI.
• Experience with GCP or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Spend the first weeks of each engagement learning the client’s work and constraints from the operator’s perspective.
• Work alongside the client and a Forward Deployed Executive to rebuild a business function from first principles, and personally build the solution.
• Embed within the customer’s team and process, work on real operational tasks, and autonomously own the delivery method.
• Deliver Cowork Activation, Agentic SDLC, and Blueprint Activations in Financial Services and Healthcare.
• Use existing industry Blueprints as a baseline and feed learnings from engagements back into them.
• Help shape enterprise AI adoption from strategy through first deployment.
• Build tooling and frameworks for Provectus’s growing AI delivery practice.
• Engage credibly with senior stakeholders in pre-sales, redesign, and scoping conversations.
