About The Position

Accenture Federal Services is seeking an experienced Data Scientist/Palantir Engineer to work with users, technical teams, and mission and business stakeholders to design, prototype, and deploy data-driven applications. The role translates operational challenges and loosely defined requirements into functional Palantir solutions, tests concepts with end users, and matures successful prototypes into scalable applications. It requires hands-on experience developing applications on large platforms, including Palantir Workshop, Ontology, Objects, Models, and Custom Widgets. An active TS/SCI clearance is required. The position involves building intuitive user experiences for operational users, developing and configuring Ontology components and application logic, and connecting application functionality to datasets, pipelines, models, APIs, and services. The engineer supports iterative development, troubleshooting, solution demonstrations, documentation, testing, and the transition of successful prototypes into operational or production environments, following established security and release practices.

Requirements

An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Hands-on experience developing applications on large platforms, including experience with Workshop, Ontology, Objects, Models, and Custom Widgets.

Responsibilities

Partner with end users, product owners, analysts, and technical stakeholders to understand mission and business challenges and translate them into technical requirements.
Build intuitive user experiences that enable operational users to interact with complex data.
Develop and configure Ontology Objects, Object Types, Properties, Relationships, Actions, and associated application logic.
Develop solutions using Palantir’s Envision Ontology to represent operational entities, relationships, workflows, and business processes.
Configure and integrate models and model outputs into user-facing applications and workflows.
Develop and integrate Custom Widgets when native components do not meet user or mission requirements.
Rapidly develop proofs of concept, minimum viable products, and prototypes to validate requirements and demonstrate solutions.
Conduct iterative development sessions with users, gathering feedback and incorporating changes into application designs.
Translate ambiguous or evolving stakeholder requirements into defined technical solutions.
Work with data engineers and platform teams to connect applications with datasets, pipelines, Ontology Objects, models, APIs, and services.
Troubleshoot application, Ontology, data, and integration issues across environments such as Palantir and Databricks.
Participate in solution demonstrations, design sessions, technical reviews, and user acceptance testing.
Document solution architecture, application configurations, Ontology designs, requirements, workflows, and technical decisions.
Support deployment and transition of successful prototypes into operational or production environments.
Follow established development, configuration management, testing, security, and release-management practices.
