We are looking for an AI & Automation Instructor to work full time to deliver our best-in-class Digital Innovation workshops to apprenticeship learners on our Level 4 AI & Automation programme and our Level 3 Gen AI Champion programme. This role is dedicated to the delivery of workshops, delivered between 09:00 - 17:00 GMT. The majority of workshops will be 3.5 or 4.5 hours long (including set-up and wrap-up time) with 8 hour hackathon workshops delivered less frequently throughout the programmes. Infrequently you may be asked to work outside core UK working hours due to the global nature of Decoded's client base, for which you may take time off in lieu.

Practitioner-level expertise in enterprise workflow automation tools, with particular focus on Power Automate across cloud and desktop, Zapier, n8n, or Make.
Advanced practical knowledge of prompt engineering techniques, including few-shot prompting, chain of thought methods, and system instruction design.
Understands and applies Lean methodology, process waste identification, value stream mapping, and basic process notation styles.
Helps learners map out their manual workflows visually before starting any technical automation.
Coding expertise on extending low-code platform capabilities using artificial intelligence assistants.
Over 2 years of experience teaching AI, automation, in a school, university or higher level
Self-motivated and a problem solver who takes initiative
Passionate about technology and learning
A team player who is eager to improve our programmes wherever possible and contributes to overall morale
Always keen to learn, improve and stretch your own knowledge, skills and behaviours

Nice To Haves

Applied practical knowledge of writing, modifying, and debugging lightweight Python or JavaScript code.

Responsibilities

Teaching our learning content to groups of apprenticeship learners via virtual workshops
Honing your skills as an educator and building your knowledge of andragogy and teaching theory
Working with the Learner Success Coaches (LSCs) to ensure learners progress through the programme. Each Learner will have the support of an LSC to support them with practical and pastoral guidance.
Contributing to product improvement and content development
Workshop preparation and knowledge of content
Comprehensively understand the apprenticeship curriculums and learning objectives of our programmes
Reviewing exercises and other learning materials before a workshop
Learning about your learners and the businesses they work for
Familiarising yourself with the course structure and content, proactively filling gaps in your knowledge
Maintaining a continual learning mindset and strive to advance your knowledge in your specialist domains
Timekeeping
Classroom management
Creating a professional and energetic atmosphere, with good energy and engagement level with learners
Managing technical issues using Zoom/Teams, Mural, Menti and other key tools
Decode and communicate complex concepts and principles with energy, focus and patience
Engaging and captivating the attention of a virtual room of busy professionals
Facilitating the learning journey for your audience, and leaving no-one behind whilst also providing stimulation for advanced learners
Enabling an inclusive, collaborative, and respectful learning environment

Producing materials to support learners with stretch needs, and instructions for technical content to support learning
