About The Position

Bechtel is seeking a motivated and experienced AI Adoption & Enablement Specialist to join our UX/Adoption team within the Information & Digital function. This role helps employees confidently adopt and effectively use enterprise AI capabilities, including Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Agents, and related technologies, through a combination of implementation support, user enablement, training, and change communications. The ideal candidate has a track record of driving technology adoption, helping people understand new capabilities, and enabling them to apply those tools effectively in their day-to-day work. Working closely with business stakeholders across functions, the AI Adoption & Enablement Specialist translates business needs into practical guidance, partners with technical teams to test and configure solutions, and develops accessible learning and support resources that improve user experience and drive adoption. The position also contributes to scalable enterprise enablement practices through documentation, feedback processes, and support models that promote consistent and effective use of AI capabilities.

Requirements

  • Typically requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Cowork, ChatGPT, Claude or similar products.
  • Experience creating job aids, FAQs, quick starts, or internal guidance for digital tools.
  • Experience designing and delivering training or enablement sessions (virtual or in‑person) for varied audiences.
  • Familiarity with change management, communications planning, or learning design applied to technology adoption.
  • Working knowledge of user research or business analysis to understand workflows and identify adoption friction.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting technology adoption, user enablement, training, change communications, or implementation support for enterprise platforms.
  • Direct experience enabling Microsoft 365 Copilot, Cowork, and/or AI agents.
  • Experience with testing and evaluating technology features against real user workflows and documenting findings.
  • Experience providing tiered end‑user support, including triage and self‑service knowledge content.
  • Experience leading or coordinating enablement activities for pilots or phased rollouts.
  • Experience with persona mapping, journey mapping, or workflow analysis to inform adoption strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI/M365 features and enablement needs by performing hands‑on testing, validation, and user workflow walkthroughs; document findings and recommendations.
  • Configure and support rollout readiness for AI‑enabled solutions (settings, templates, guidance, and operational checklists) in coordination with developers, solution owners, and governance expectations.
  • Develop and maintain product content (FAQs, quick starts, how‑to guides, release notes summaries, and internal “what’s changing / why it matters”) to support change communications and self‑service.
  • Create training content aligned to learner personas and job scenarios.
  • Deliver instructor‑led sessions in-person and online, including demos, office hours, and targeted enablement for roles/teams; adapting delivery to different skill levels.
  • Conduct user research (interviews, surveys, focus groups) and build persona and journey maps to identify friction points and prioritize improvements.
  • Provide tiered end‑user support (triage, troubleshooting, “how do I” guidance) and contribute to a scalable knowledge base and support playbooks.
  • Analyze business needs and workflows; translate into practical guidance, requirements, and adoption recommendations to improve outcomes and reduce rework
