About The Position

The Boeing Global Services (BGS) Maintenance Engineering organization is seeking first-line managers (K) to lead the Product Support team for Attack Helicopters in Mesa, AZ. The primary responsibility is to lead the BGS Maintenance Engineering team supporting the AH-64. This position will direct and manage Technical Publications, oversee integration of domestic technical data deliveries, develop new product offerings and go-to-market strategies to capture additional business, and effectively manage, develop, and motivate the team.

Requirements

  • Experience working with military technical publications as an author, reviewer, or quality control / quality assurance
  • 3+ years of experience do you have developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
  • Experience with military aircraft maintenance processes, policies, culture, and/or standard practices
  • 10+ years of experience working in a professional environment
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Leads planning and integration activities for stand-alone support program(s) or major support business/program element where business needs dictate.
  • Applies technical knowledge of product support/logistics disciplines and Program Management Best Practices to direct program activities.
  • Manages employees performing activities related to cost, schedule, quality and risk management.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
