About The Position

This role will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the facility according to divisional objectives, to provide patrons with prompt, courteous, and effective service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a maximum margin of profit.

Requirements

  • Must understand basic business principles of inventory management and personnel supervision
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Possess a Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement and category 1A applicators license, or ability to obtain
  • Excellent customer relations and service skills
  • Experience leading safety and business improvement strategies
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be a team player and enjoy the effort necessary to contribute to a successful operation and company
  • Ability and desire to solve problems in the fields of our customers
  • Possess a relative knowledge of crop diagnostics, crop protection, seed and fertility
  • Farming experience helpful
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver’s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy
  • Must obtain and maintain state commercial applicator certification as required by state
  • Minimum Class B with Hazmat endorsement

Responsibilities

  • Working in the load bay
  • Assist in managing the workforce through responsible training and clear job assignment and explanation
  • Build relationships with the customer base and key suppliers
  • Assist in establishing and implementing short-term goals that are consistent with long-range plans for growth in operation, including facility, equipment, and personnel
  • Communicate with manager and utilize additional resources (other branch managers, credit, marketing, human resources, etc.) to maximize profitability
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Ensure that department facilities and equipment meet all federal, state, and OSHA regulations
  • Help maintain inventories to ensure service with minimum delivery delays, while maintaining inventory turn goals
  • Assist with handling tasks for assigned accounts
