About The Position

The Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily operations within the location, including field activities, warehouse functions, inventory management, product delivery, equipment maintenance, and application operations. This role provides direct leadership and support to frontline employees, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. The position partners closely with the Location Manager to optimize resources, support customer needs, and drive operational excellence across the facility.

Requirements

• Associate degree preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Additional technical training, agricultural education, or equivalent experience is beneficial.
• 3+ years of experience in agricultural operations, warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, agronomy, or related industries.
• Previous lead, supervisory, or team coordination experience preferred.
• Experience with inventory control, dispatching, product ordering, invoicing, and delivery coordination.
• Strong understanding of agricultural operations, crop production, agronomic practices, fertilizer products, and application services preferred.
• Experience with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with computer systems and operational software; AgVance experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to organize work, manage competing priorities, and support operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• CDL preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience within the agriculture industry is strongly preferred, including exposure to agronomy, crop production, fertilizer operations, crop protection products, seed, or agricultural retail environments.
• Familiarity with farming operations, local agricultural practices, crop production cycles, fertilizer and chemical products, and seasonal business demands is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily operations, including equipment and facility maintenance, warehouse activities, inventory management, product receiving and distribution, field operations, and application services.
• Coordinate and execute daily work plans, schedules, and field activities to ensure operational objectives are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop team members while supporting onboarding efforts and maintaining appropriate staffing levels to meet business demands and seasonal workload requirements.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for field and operational employees by providing guidance, resolving day-to-day issues, and supporting employee performance and development.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all company policies, environmental regulations, and operational procedures.
• Monitor, inspect, and maintain operational equipment, application equipment, tools, vehicles, and facility assets. Coordinate preventative maintenance activities and equipment repairs to minimize downtime.
• Oversee inventory control processes, including receiving, storage, cycle counts, monthly inventory reconciliation, product tracking, parts ordering, and reporting inventory discrepancies.
• Coordinate logistics activities, including dispatching trucks, scheduling deliveries and pickups, managing product movement, and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Support fertilizer and crop protection product application operations, including product calculations, application planning, equipment calibration, mixing procedures, and adherence to industry best practices.
• Ensure products are received, stored, blended, and distributed efficiently while maintaining inventory accuracy and operational effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate and timely records related to inventory, equipment maintenance, employee documentation, scheduling, compliance requirements, and operational activities.
• Assist with planning equipment purchases, facility improvements, capital projects, and operational initiatives designed to improve safety, efficiency, and productivity.
• Communicate daily operational updates, staffing needs, equipment concerns, resource requirements, and performance metrics to management.
• Partner with leadership to identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity, customer service, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.
• Support seasonal operations by coordinating internal employees, temporary labor, and third-party resources to meet customer demand during peak periods.
• Build strong working relationships with employees, customers, vendors, and business partners while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
• Leverage computer systems and operational software to support inventory management, reporting, scheduling, dispatching, and day-to-day business operations.
• Demonstrate leadership, accountability, problem-solving skills, and sound decision-making while working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
• Perform other duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned to support the success of the location and business operations.
