About The Position

The Agriculture Tech is responsible for the general maintenance of the garden for guests’ enjoyment and the needs of the culinary team. This role involves performing daily tasks related to the upkeep of the culinary garden, including watering plants, maintaining a chemical-free environment, harvesting produce daily, and general garden maintenance such as weeding, mowing, bed preparation, composting, and transplanting. The position also includes compost management, daily harvesting and preparation of produce for kitchen orders, and organization of garden tools and equipment. The technician will interact with guests and team members as needed and must comply with all company policies and procedures. Regular and consistent attendance is required.

Requirements

Must have a general knowledge of or interest in organic farming methods
Ability to engage with visiting guests and children
Must be able to communicate with all levels of Team Members and Guests in a professional and courteous manner
Basic understanding of math
Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to be on feet for the majority of the day
Must be able to operate a golf cart or company vehicle safely
Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers, and interact with our guests.

Nice To Haves

Equipment operation, specifically tractor, the experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Perform daily tasks about the upkeep of the culinary garden
Water plants as necessary
Maintain a chemical-free garden
Harvest product daily
General garden maintenance including hand weeding, staking and trellising, mowing, weed eating, bed preparation, laying compost, transplanting, etc.
Compost management, including the daily collection of kitchen waste.
Daily harvest to fill kitchen orders, including trimming, cleaning, and delivery of garden produce
Organization and maintenance of garden-related tools and equipment
Interact with guests and team members when necessary
Other duties as deemed necessary.
