This position involves assisting with planting, maintenance, and harvesting of large and small research plot trials at the University of Florida IFAS research farm at Live Oak and on cooperating farms in the Suwannee Valley region. The role includes conducting soil, tissue, water, and pest diagnostic sampling for row crops and vegetables, including greenhouse hydroponics. Responsibilities also encompass collecting, organizing, and accurately entering research data into spreadsheets and online platforms, communicating with farm managers, producers, and fellow staff to coordinate on-farm activities, and participating in the planning and execution of Extension field days and other events. Additional tasks may be assigned to support the mission of NFREC-SV.
