They are expanding operations and seeking an Agricultural Heavy Equipment Technician to join their team at headquarters. The role involves working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on building a sustainable future in farm management.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience.
  • Qualified and/or certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) / Agricultural Equipment Technician (425A) preferred.
  • Comprehend and interpret technical service manuals and schematics.
  • Consistent in troubleshooting skills in electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Operate vehicle and equipment safely in the service shop and in the field.
  • Ability to work seasonally extended hours during the week or weekends.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds as required without assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment such as harvesters, tractors, Soil Preparation Equipment, Seed Drills, Mowers, Diggers, Transplanters, Utility Vehicles and various farm equipment attachments/implements.
  • Inspect and repair equipment with faults and malfunctions.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Maintain attachments and working tools such as tillage, planting irrigation, plows, discs, loaders, bale spear, root grapple, pallet forks, mowers, shredders, cultivators wagons, trailers to manufacturing specifications.
  • Perform repair work on heavy equipment, devices, tools.
  • Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, mechanical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports.
  • Perform Lockout.
  • Perform Welding duties.
  • Housekeeping of work area as required.
