This position directs and provides innovative, strategic leadership and oversight for the planning, designing, financing, and structuring of public private partnerships, and the management of capital investments and transit related development projects on MARTA’s owned and adjacent properties. The role involves developing and implementing long and short-range TOD strategies and programs, supporting agency-wide capital improvement plans, and representing the Authority in local, state, and federal matters. The AGM oversees operating and capital budgets, works in partnership with other departments on financial and stakeholder reporting, and directs the preparation of preliminary studies and assessments to identify profitable land use opportunities. Responsibilities also include overseeing the preparation of real estate cost estimates, acquisition of properties, relocation activities, disposition of excess properties, property appraisals, and the management and leasing of MARTA property. The role is also responsible for implementing, organizing, and managing retail development and concessions activities, and cultivating external relationships with various groups and partners. The position involves direct or indirect supervision of directors, managers, and other employees within the Real Estate Development & Asset Management department.
