About The Position

VG Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Lead & Backlog Analyst to guide high-performing delivery teams, maintain a healthy backlog, and ensure smooth sprint execution. The role combines hands-on Scrum leadership with disciplined backlog management and analytical skills. It is primarily remote (about 85%), with occasional onsite work 2–4 times per month in Washington, DC. Candidates living in a HUBZone receive hiring preference, although HUBZone residency is not required; proof of residency will be needed if selected.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Lead, or Backlog Analyst.
• Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps and Agile delivery frameworks.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and requirements-analysis skills.
• Ability to maintain backlog discipline and drive predictable, high-quality delivery.

Nice To Haves

• HUBZone residency is preferred for hiring purposes, but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, feature refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Perform daily backlog health checks and manage grooming and prioritization with Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Capture and translate business and technical needs into clear epics, features, and user stories.
• Configure and maintain Azure DevOps boards, sprints, iterations, dashboards, queries, analytics, and delivery plans.
• Facilitate workshops and cross-team forums to define requirements and align priorities.
• Manage team calendars, collaboration cadence, and communications via Microsoft Teams.
• Maintain position-based Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and update them as needed or requested.
