About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a highly motivated Agile - Release Train Engineer (RTE) (Experienced or Senior) to join a large Air Dominance Division Mission Systems Software team using Agile in Berkeley, MO. This position will lead and/or support an agile organization in implementing new software capabilities within the platform as defined by a capability roadmap. The organization is responsible for the full lifecycle of software development, including requirements, design, implementation, and testing for mission systems. The agile leader will act as a servant leader and coach, overseeing and optimizing the flow of value on the program using tools like Jira and Confluence. Responsibilities include facilitating workshops, escalating impediments, managing risk, ensuring value delivery, and driving relentless improvement. The leader will also coach leaders and teams in new processes and mindsets, and help sustain and improve Agile execution on the program. The candidate must have a strong understanding of scaling Lean and Agile practices and the unique challenges of facilitating and aligning a large organization with multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Pre-Start)
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile delivery and metrics
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Agile/SAFe training and/or certification, for example: SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), SAFe Release Train Engineer Certification (RTE), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Project Management Institute- Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
